Position Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to join a leading EPC power generation construction company supporting large-scale power plant projects throughout Texas. This individual will play a key role in overseeing project execution, coordinating construction activities, managing subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background, excellent organizational skills, and the flexibility to relocate between project sites as business needs evolve. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career within the power generation construction industry.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

 • Support the successful execution of utility-scale power generation construction projects from mobilization through commissioning.

 • Coordinate daily activities between field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

 • Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting using Microsoft Office tools and project management systems.

 • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and help implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget goals.

 • Track subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to contract requirements and project specifications.

 • Participate in project meetings and provide updates to leadership, clients, and construction teams.

 • Support procurement activities, change order management, and project documentation.

 • Promote and uphold safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards across all project activities.

 • Travel and relocate to various project sites throughout Texas based on project demands.

Skills and Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

 • 3+ years of construction experience in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Construction Manager, or similar role.

 • Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

 • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

 • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

 • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Nice-to-Have Qualifications

 • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

 •Experience supporting projects within the power generation, energy, or EPC construction industry.

 • Direct power plant construction experience (combined cycle, simple cycle, natural gas, thermal, nuclear, or renewable energy facilities).

 • Project controls experience including scheduling, cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, or Primavera P6.
