Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Sonographer at CHI Williston Health, you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.
Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.
To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.

Produce high quality ultrasound images and obtain appropriate measurements for each exam

Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and abnormal tissue structures and provide the best image quality for documentation

Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure

Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, transfer images, and print from PACS

Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms

Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the department
We are offering a $30,000 employment incentive to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
Job Requirements
Required

Graduate of an accredited college or technical program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, within 12 - months and

Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- Sonographer experience in a Critical Access Hospital

Pay Range
$35.62 - $52.99 /hour
