Job Summary

At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered.

Perform various routine/non-routine administrative functions for the Engineering Department.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist managers and supervisors on individual projects or special assignments.

  • Maintain and update databases, personnel records,calendar and payroll records.

  • Compile, organize and type correspondence, forms and reports.

  • Answer telephone, direct callers and provide information as required.

  • Review SAP/CATS time entry reports for unapproved time and accurate cost assignments.

  • Coordination of contact list, phone list, and organizational charts.

  • Maintain controlled documents, order stationery supplies, process expense sheets.

  • Perform administrative coordination of various meeting bodies including writing meeting minutes. Attention to detail, customer/client focused and flexibility/adaptability essential.

  • Must have good communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, SAP, including payroll.

  • Proficient in creating notifications, printing of work packages and DCRMS.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent

  • 3 years of administrative experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications and SAP modules.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and demonstrate the ability to work well with individuals of all levels of the organization, as well as senior-level leaders in government and private organizations.

  • Excellent planning and organization skills.

  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks timely and efficiently.

  • Must meet and maintain nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.

Desired

  • Associate’s Degree preferably in a business. Secretarial Science Degree and/or College Level secretarial or business courses.

  • Previous Engineering administrative experience.
