Painter I – $25.85

Weekend Nights | Saturday–Monday | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Painter – The Paint Hanger is expected to safely complete supervised powder coat paint established procedures, processes, or policies. Paint Hangers safely and efficiently load and unload raw parts from the paint line. The Paint Hangers are expected to move efficiently and safely with the end result being a ready to use part or assembly.

Major Responsibilities

Loading, transferring, and unloading of parts on and/or from paint line

Process each part by hanging/racking to paint application

Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process

Perform work duties in a safe manner and in accordance with policy (including wearing required proper personal protective equipment, work habits and performing appropriate housekeeping duties)

Constantly work in a constantly high heat environment

Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process

Exchange and break down racks and prepare for burn-off

Maintain proper counts

Report all scrap

Perform stock handling duties as required

Maintain a clean work environment

Minimum Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

0-2 years of experience

Detail oriented and organized

Additional Qualifications:

Ability to effectively communicate

Ability to understand and execute basic standard procedures

Ability to perform basic reading and writing skills

Ability to effectively work in a team environment

Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Ability to communicate and work well with others

A positive attitude, assertive, dependable, and energetic

A strong focus on quality of work

Preferred Job Requirements

Previous experience with powder paint systems

Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
