Full job description
Club SciKidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. We are hiring Lead Instructors to work at our Annapolis location . The Lead Instructor position is for folks at least 20 years old and have at least one year experience teaching and leading a group of children. Preference given to certified teachers, education majors, and other individuals in work in the education/day care fields.
Our Annapolis location camps run from June 15th-July 31st, and run Monday-Friday. Staff hours are approximately 8:30am-4pm with one after care shift per week. Pay starts at $575 a week and is dependent on your experience working with children and the fields of science & technology. Certified teachers start at $640 per week.
We are looking for folks who:

Must be at least 20 years old

Enjoy working with children
-
Have experience working with, teaching and leading a group of up to 18 children

Want to help campers have a great summer as they learn science & technology

Passionate about providing children with hands-on learning experiences

Are reliable & hard working; have reliable transportation

Can commit to work at least 4 weeks; preference given to applicants who can work all 6 weeks. If interested, additional weeks are available the last half of the summer at our Odenton location

Having [some] experience with technology is a plus, but NOT a requirement
Daily responsibilities include:

Supervising campers

Implementing provided lessons (all lessons, materials & supplies are provided)

Keeping kids engaged, while maintaining a safe environment

Have fun with what you are doing

Being on time every day for your required shifts (you are scheduled by the week, so you work a whole week (Monday-Friday) for the weeks you are scheduled

Working with other staff to provide an excellent camp experience
