Full job description
Triumph builds real-money mobile games. Arcade is our flagship native iOS app with millions of monthly active users, and we're expanding the platform into multi-app, multi-platform, and multi-geography territory.
We're hiring a senior iOS engineer to be the technical backbone of the Arcade app. You own every part of the app except the games themselves: the wallet, matchmaking, cashout, onboarding, live multiplayer, and the compliance and integrity systems underneath them.
Because we handle real money, our mobile problems go well beyond UI polish: real-time transaction consistency, fraud and integrity, and compliance that varies by state. Latency and reliability aren't marketing lines here; they directly affect user trust. You'll join a small mobile team (4 today, growing to 7+) where your decisions shape the architecture, not just the implementation.
What you'll do:
-
Own end-to-end architecture and platform decisions for the Arcade iOS app, the foundation the rest of the mobile team builds on.
-
Keep the platform healthy: fast builds, reliable CI/CD, and a crash-free app, so product iOS/UX engineers can ship quickly.
-
Build and maintain the shared platform architecture that lets the game dev team ship new games into Arcade quickly, and that supports expansion into new geographies.
-
Build and iterate rapidly on features that move engagement, retention, and lifetime value: new game launches, live multiplayer, session depth.
-
Elevate the team's code and architecture through review, tooling, and design patterns.
-
Craft the mobile UX that makes Triumph feel like the best gaming app on someone's phone. Sweat the details: animations, transitions, and micro-interactions, the polish that makes an app feel fast and intentional, not just functional.
-
Build systems where speed and performance genuinely matter, not just marketing language: latency directly affects user experience and trust.
What we're looking for:
-
4+ years building consumer apps on iOS in Swift, with a track record of owning complex features end to end, from architecture to App Store release, with a focus on speed and scalability.
-
Expert in Swift, with deep, hands-on knowledge of both UIKit and SwiftUI.
-
Strong product sense. You understand what makes users stick around, and can translate that into features that actually move the needle.
-
We want engineers who set the bar in their craft, not just meet it.
Bonus points:
-
Up to date with best practices for working with AI coding agents. You can design a clean, platform-level mobile architecture that works well with agents while staying readable to humans and safe to build on.
-
Experience with polished UI animations.
-
Familiarity with mobile build systems, monorepos, or code generation tooling.
-
React Native experience. Our cross-platform work (Android, and products beyond Arcade) runs on React Native, and this footprint is growing. Arcade itself is native Swift, but there's room to contribute across it over time.
-
Experience mentoring or leveling up other engineers.
Why Triumph?
-
Opportunity to build a scaling consumer mobile app that touches gaming, finance, and social (we build all of our games in house).
-
Now that we’re scaling rapidly, we’re building a team that can expand the scope of our products and reach. This means you’ll have opportunity to take leadership and grow as an engineer with the company.
-
Passionate team that is proud of our work.
-
10x year over year growth.
-
Competitive salary and benefits ($400/mo lunch credit, healthcare, vision, dental, 401k, etc.)
Our team gathers 5 days a week at Triumph’s headquarters at Levi’s Plaza in San Francisco.
