Position Summary:

The School of Media & Journalism at Arkansas State University is looking for a tenure-track Assistant Professor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the recently launched Mass Comm. degree program needed to support news outlets, including The Herald, ASU-TV News, mentoring, and thesis supervision.

  • Conduct research and contribute to the school's scholarly mission and productivity.

  • Fulfill required department, college, and university service obligations while supporting program quality, assessment, and governance, which will reduce reliance on instructors

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge and ability to teach communication across platforms and produce research and/or creative activities appropriate to the discipline.

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Additional hours as requested and/or needed
