Full job description
Head Start Recruiting and Outreach Coordinator Head Start (https://ofoinc.org/find-program/home-based-and-preschool-programs) is seeking a caring and resourceful individual to foster community partnerships and collaborations and to work closely with families to promote their preschooler’s overall development and prepare them for kindergarten and life beyond school.
The Head Start Recruiting and Outreach Coordinator is the face of Head Start in the community. As Recruiting and Outreach Coordinator, you will:

Establish, maintain and enhance community partnerships and collaborations that support enrollment and services for families

Promote full enrollment in the program by completing recruitments, conducting outreach, door knocking, and promoting the program in the community

Identify, coordinate and attend outreach events that support full enrollment

Provide education on outreach events, enrollment initiatives and progress at Head Start parent meetings
This position is located at our main office in Oneonta, is a year-round position, and is given access to an agency vehicle/mileage reimbursement for travel within Otsego County. Occasional evening and weekend hours.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in human services, social work, family services, counseling or related field; a Family Development credential (generally within 18 months of hire); and one year of related experience in human services; valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Expected Skills:
Technical and service skills required by duties; client service orientation; accountability for results; teamwork; adaptability; reliability; specialized knowledge of the field; consistent exercise of discretion and judgment; work predominantly varied in character
Working Conditions:
Typical office and pre-school environment and equipment; frequent local travel; work in client residences; possible exposure to childhood illness
