Job Description

The employee in this class supervises a group of radiographers and mammographers engaged in the operation of radiological equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes. Work includes planning, organizing and assigning work and modifying procedures to improve workflow and increase efficiency .

Imaging Supervisor

We are seeking an Imaging Supervisor to join our team. This position offers an emphasis on supervisory responsibilities while also providing the opportunity to work clinically as needed (e.g., vacation, call-out coverage). The Imaging Supervisor will oversee daily radiology department operations, including:

  • Supervising radiology staff, assigning workloads, and coordinating scheduling.

  • Ensuring compliance with quality control procedures and regulatory standards.

  • Managing inventory and ordering departmental supplies.

  • Acting as a liaison between staff and leadership, ensuring effective communication.

  • Performing a variety of routine and complex imaging procedures, including:

  • General Radiography

  • Fluoroscopy

  • DEXA Scanning

  • Mammography

  • CT

  • MRI

  • PACS Systems

Ideal candidates are ARRT-certified technologists with strong leadership skills and a desire to support a team while maintaining direct patient care responsibilities.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Certificate and/or Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology.

  • ARRT Certification (with additional certification in either CT or Mammography).

  • Eligibility for Radiologic Technologist Licensure in Vermont.

  • 5+ years of experience in Radiology.

  • 1+ year of supervisory experience. Nice-To-Haves:

  • Experience working in a union environment.

  • ARRT certification in multiple specialties (CT, Mammography, and Radiography).

  • Experience with Epic EMR.
