As a Payroll Manager, you'll lead payroll operations for 550+ employees in Israel, ensuring every payroll cycle is accurate, compliant, and efficient. You'll own end-to-end payroll processes, partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors, and drive operational improvements that support Gong's continued growth in a fast-paced global environment.

You'll Own:

  • Leading end-to-end payroll operations for 550+ employees in Israel, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with Israeli labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

  • Owning payroll reporting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, payroll-related accounting processes, and maintaining payroll data integrity across the employee lifecycle.

  • Driving continuous improvements to payroll processes, systems, and controls while partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, Equity, and external payroll consultants to ensure seamless payroll operations.

You'll Solve:

  • Identifying payroll risks, proactively resolving discrepancies, and implementing scalable solutions that improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and operational excellence.

  • Supporting complex payroll scenarios, including equity compensation, pension plans, reserve-duty pay, global payroll processes, multi-currency payroll considerations, and cross-border tax implications.

You'll Impact:

  • Ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on time while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and operational excellence.

  • Building scalable payroll processes, driving automation and stronger financial controls across payroll operations, and serving as a trusted payroll partner to Finance, HR, Legal, and leadership.

How You'll Succeed Here:

  • 5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in a global high-tech environment supporting 300–600 employees, with deep expertise in Israeli payroll, labor laws, tax regulations, National Insurance, reserve-duty payments, pension plans, and equity compensation.

  • Hands-on experience with Hilan (including Ofek and Hilnet), retrieving historical payroll data from Michpal, NetSuite ERP, payroll journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, month-end close processes, and building payroll journal entries directly from payroll reports. Implementation experience with Hilnet is a strong advantage.

  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and payroll analysis, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while taking ownership in a fast-paced environment.

  • Fluent in Hebrew and English.

*We operate in a flexible hybrid work model.
