Job Description

The selected candidate will deliver and perform modifications to various fixed and mobile Communications Systems, RADAR, Navigation, and Situation Awareness systems in use by Special Boat Units. Will install, configure, service, repair, and provided technical assistance on all platforms and provide formal and informal training on all platforms. Will perform Operational Testing and Evaluation (OT&E) of systems prior to deployment. Will compose and submit detailed written technical reports. Will perform failure analysis and provide written detailed recommendations for solutions.

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.

The selected applicant will assist Special Boat Team 22 (SBT-22) with daily onsite support as the onsite Field Service Engineer located at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Candidate will work directly with the N6 department and work as a technical subject matter expert and liaison between SBT and the NAWCAD SCMS/ BAE Systems SBT team, while helping to develop and execute C5ISR requirements, coordinate installation and upgrade schedules, and assist in technical support as required. Candidate will be required to install, configure, service, repair, and provide technical assistance on all watercraft platforms and provide formal and informal training as required. Travel may be required to attend meetings to discuss C5ISR requirements and capabilities. Additionally, candidate will periodically conduct radio clinics which entail comprehensive testing and repair of all radios within the unit.

This position is located in Stennis Space Center, MS with onsite support of two Special Boat Teams. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Stennis Space Center, Mississippi or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Associate degree or US military training/experience in electronic equipment maintenance and repair and six years of relevant work experience

Demonstrated knowledge of the C5ISR systems onboard Combatant Craft platforms

Demonstrated ability to independently provide technical assistance on the above platforms with limited to no supervision

Highly attentive to detail

Proficient administrative skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

U.S. Military tactical communications training/experience including AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-152A, AN/PRC 163, AN/PRC-167, AN/PRC-150, AN/PRC-160 and MESH network radios

Internet Protocol (IP) based network experience

ANW2, HPW and ASCM Waveform experience

FURUNO RADAR and Navigation equipment experience

Experience with RIS, FOSOV, SDN, TACLAN, and other SOF communications packages

COMSEC equipment operations/maintenance

LINK-16 Experience

CCA, RHIB, SOC-R platform experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $64935 - $110390

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
