Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team supporting the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced undersea hardware systems. This role is responsible for concept development, technical planning, problem-solving, and translating customer requirements into engineering solutions that balance performance, schedule, and cost objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware design, design for manufacturing, and developing engineering processes, procedures, and documentation to support manufacturing and production activities. Successful candidates will thrive in a team environment, effectively manage multiple priorities, and possess strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Experience supporting small-to-medium production programs and solving complex mechanical engineering challenges is highly desired.

Compensation for this role ranges from $75/hr to $95/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access.

Skills and Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace. Ocean Engineering or equivalent STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of experience or MS degree with 3 years of experience

  • Experience using software tools such as Ansys, NX, Solidworks, etc

  • Proficiency in using common engineering design, production, analysis, and office tools

  • A current/active U.S. Government Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph • Able to work in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously

  • Proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter

  • Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Experience with undersea vehicle and system design

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly
