Job Summary:

The Recruiting Intern supports the talent acquisition function by assisting with sourcing, screening, scheduling, and administrative coordination throughout the recruitment process. This role provides hands‑on experience with recruiting systems, hiring events, and organizational processes while contributing to a positive candidate experience and efficient hiring workflow.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in hiring events and recruiting activities to help identify potential candidates and represent American Rheinmetall professionally.

  • Source candidates through job boards, social platforms, referrals, and event networking.

  • Review and screen incoming applications to assess basic qualifications and alignment with job requirements.

  • Coordinate and schedule interviews based on hiring manager availability and staffing needs.

  • Attend interviews as an observer to gain experience in structured interview practices and candidate evaluation.

  • Become familiar with the Applicant Tracking System (Paycor Recruiting) and support data entry, candidate status updates, and workflow management.

  • Learn and follow established recruiting processes, documentation standards, communication guidelines, and compliance expectations.

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the HR team as needed, including preparing materials, updating job postings, and maintaining organized records.

  • All additional tasks/duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

  • Actively working toward an applicable bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Junior academic standing or higher.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

  • Comfortable interacting with candidates, employees, and hiring managers.

  • Organized with strong attention to detail and time‑management skills.

  • Willingness to learn recruiting best practices and HR systems.

  • U.S. citizenship required.

Background Prerequisites:

  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or project‑based experience in HR, recruiting, or customer service.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or career platforms is helpful but not required.
