As an Operations Consultant within PNC's Midland organization, you will be based within the PNC Midland footprint.

As a Senior Operations Consultant, this position plays a critical leadership role in overseeing complex reporting and remittance operations, ensuring adherence to servicing agreements, regulatory obligations, and investor requirements. The role exercises independent judgment in reviewing and approving high-impact transactions, leading strategic projects and process improvements, and influencing operational outcomes across the organization. Through proactive risk management, governance oversight, and continuous process optimization, this position ensures operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes necessary to be successful in Investor Reporting:

  • Minimum of eight years of loan servicing experience, with a strong preference for investor reporting; equivalent experience in complex financial operations will be considered

  • Advanced understanding of investor reporting, financial calculations, cash movement processes, and servicing agreement requirements

  • Proven ability to independently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while ensuring accuracy and timely execution

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence

  • Demonstrated independent problem solving capability

  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to confidently escalate issues, recommend corrective actions, and resolve complex operational challenges

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a focus on risk mitigation, process optimization, and continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated leadership through mentoring peers, providing guidance on complex reporting and reconciliation matters, and driving team success through proactive support of operational objectives. Monitors production workflows to identify emerging risks, quality concerns, and process gaps; escalates issues as appropriate; and leads the implementation of sustainable solutions to address systemic issues, strengthen controls, and mitigate operational risk.

This position may be eligible for remote work in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC. If approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home-based workspace. Occasional in-office participation may be required based on business needs.

Job Description

  • Leads critical operational support and/or implementation of complex services, processes, capabilities or initiatives within an operational unit, and oversees performance and risk indicators.

  • Establishes process performance measurements and oversees business impact. May implement critical business support services. Communicates performance statistics to internal stakeholders and senior management.

  • Promotes the production workflow and oversees escalated process issues. Independently identifies and manages the resolution of exceptions and serves as a point of escalation. May coach operations process managers and team members .

  • Determines and/or drives change and improvement efforts in production and/or processes. May develop and oversee policy change and/or improvement. Ensures understanding, acceptance and support for business support services, methods, capabilities or initiatives through collaboration with executives, business partners and team members.

  • Ensures the business adheres to policies, procedures and regulatory standards. Independently resolves compliance issues and drives risk mitigation activities.
