Veterinary Technician, Anesthesia | $22–$35/hr

Location: Williston, VT

Schedule: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts per week

Compensation: $22–$35/hour

PEAK Veterinary Referral Center in Williston, VT is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Anesthesia team. This full-time Veterinary Technician opportunity is ideal for a Vet Tech looking to expand advanced anesthesia, surgery, and specialty medicine skills while working alongside board-certified specialists in a collaborative specialty animal hospital.

As a Veterinary Technician on our Anesthesia team, you'll support advanced procedures including surgery, CT, and complex specialty cases while practicing high-quality medicine in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Compensation

  • $22–$35/hour, based on credentialing, experience, and skill set

Schedule

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing anesthesia cases while collaborating with board-certified specialists and VTS technicians

  • Perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures alongside each surgeon

  • Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates

  • Execute, monitor, and recover assigned sedation and anesthetic events

  • Assist with operating room duties as a nurse and scrub-in technician during orthopedic surgeries

  • Provide comfort, advocacy, and high-quality nursing care for every patient

Qualifications

  • Experienced Veterinary Technician, Vet Tech, CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred

  • Anesthesia, surgery, specialty, emergency, or critical care experience preferred

  • Strong patient monitoring, technical, and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced specialty veterinary environment

  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
