Position Summary:
Reporting to the Program Director, Food Services, this position, as part of the interdisciplinary team is responsible for reviewing new and revised menu products and recipes created by the Commissary. This position will be responsible for keeping all nutritional data current and available to all stake holders.
Key responsibilities include: using comprehensive nutritional assessment skills and current best practices, to ensure all nutritional data is current and meets Carewest standards and policies. This position will act as liaison between Site RD’s and FSM’s communicating menu, recipe, and ingredient updates and will also update and communicate any necessary diet compliancy changes as well as keeping software data updated. The Commissary RD will be instrumental in supporting, promoting, and marketing new menu items. Responsible for other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduation from a recognized degree program in Foods and Nutrition.
- Completion of recognized internship program.
- Registration with the College of Dietitians of Alberta required.
- Registration with Dietitians of Canada an asset.
- Experience as a Clinical Dietitian in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset.
