Job Title: Commercial Painter

Pay- 23-30/hr

Job Description

This role focuses on providing high-quality painting services for new construction projects throughout the Lancaster area. You will mix paints, prepare job sites, and apply paint using spraying, rolling, and cutting techniques to deliver a professional finish on commercial and residential builds.

Responsibilities

• Mix paints to achieve the correct color, consistency, and finish for each project

• Prepare surfaces and work areas thoroughly, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as needed

• Set up and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns, rollers, and brushes

• Apply paint using spraying techniques to large surfaces and detailed areas in new construction builds

• Perform rolling and cutting work to ensure clean lines, even coverage, and a high-quality appearance

• Inspect completed work to verify proper coverage, color accuracy, and adherence to quality standards

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each project

• Work efficiently on multiple construction projects within the Lancaster area while meeting deadlines

• Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to coordinate work and minimize disruptions

Essential Skills

• At least 10 years of experience in commercial or residential painting

• Strong proficiency with spray painting techniques, including use of spray guns

• Demonstrated experience with rolling and cutting for clean, professional finishes

• Hands-on experience with paint preparation, including surface prep and masking

• Ability to mix paints accurately to meet project specifications

• Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of painting tools and equipment

• Ability to work full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, on local projects within about one hour of Lancaster

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

Work takes place primarily on new construction residential builds in the Lancaster area and surrounding locations within about an hour’s drive. The role involves working on active construction sites, using tools such as spray guns, rollers, brushes, and other painting equipment. Typical scheduling is full-time at around 40 hours per week. The environment is hands-on and project-focused, requiring adherence to site safety practices and coordination with other trades in a construction setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
