The Civil Supervisor will be responsible for supervising civil engineering, construction, and infrastructure maintenance works, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, within scope and budget, and in line with required engineering and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

  • Training in construction supervision, project execution, contract administration, cost control, or infrastructure maintenance is an asset.

  • Professional registration or equivalent certification would be an advantage.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, or industrial maintenance experience, including demonstrated responsibility for site supervision or contractor coordination.

  • Experience with concrete works, drainage systems, structural steel, roads, buildings, foundations, or utilities is highly preferred.

  • Experience supervising civil crews, coordinating contractors, conducting inspections, managing work permits or risk assessments, monitoring budgets, and supporting commissioning or handover activities is highly desirable.

Skills and Competencies :

  • Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles, construction methods, industrial maintenance practices, engineering drawings, material specifications, and site-development standards.

  • Ability to review site layouts, structural details, technical specifications, bills of quantities, method statements, and contractor submissions.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with close attention to quality, constructability, and technical detail.

  • Strong supervisory, planning, coordination, and people-management skills, with the ability to organize daily work, assign resources, monitor productivity, and maintain discipline and safe work practices.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, project engineering, procurement, HSE personnel, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Role s and Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day supervision, technical direction, and work coordination for assigned civil personnel, contractors, and work crews engaged in civil engineering, construction, repair, and infrastructure maintenance activities.

  • Assigns work, monitors attendance, verifies productivity, checks workmanship, and ensures that assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, work permits, procedures, and quality requirements.

  • Plan, assign, coordinate, and supervise civil engineering, construction, repair, and maintenance works in accordance with approved priorities, drawings, specifications, budgets, and operational requirements.

  • Review civil scopes, site layouts, structural details, bills of quantities, material requirements, method statements, and contractor submissions to confirm technical adequacy and constructability.

  • Coordinate daily work activities, inspections, testing, quality-control checks, material availability, and manpower requirements for assigned civil work packages.

  • Monitor contractor and crew activities, work quality, progress, productivity, attendance, and compliance with approved civil specifications, drawings, permits, and safety requirements.

  • Enforce BSI safety, environmental, engineering, sanitation, GMP, and quality requirements while ensuring all civil work is executed safely and responsibly.
