DUTIES : Perform structural analysis and comfort analysis on assigned seat projects at the vehicle system level. Develop Finite Element Analysis (FEA) plans for assigned project. Participate in the creation of assigned subsystem Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models. Motivate CAE suppliers and internal resources to meet program milestones and deliverables. Complete FEA analysis including the production of VDDV models from NX math and execution of documented VDDV models per assigned projects. Compare FEA results to performance requirements and recommend viable design solutions. Correlate analysis results to physical test and update FEA models and FEA procedures. Document results in FEA reports. Generate technical solutions for current, new, and major programs. Provide technical leadership for advanced technology development. Perform sophisticated design analysis. Develop engineering designs including subsystems. Perform and be responsible for resources for virtual assessment of designs and compare results to performance requirements. Initiate design solution to resolve performance issues with mass and cost efficiency. Implement engineering changes. Specify and balance system requirements. Plan and implement test and development programs. Communicate, coordinate, and consult with engineering departments and customers. Create new processes and tools. Hybrid Work Policy – 3 days In-Office, 2 Days Remote – Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS : Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as a CAE Engineer, Safety Engineer, Product Engineer, or related role. OR Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as a CAE Engineer, Safety Engineer, Product Engineer, or related role. Three (3) years of experience with the following: Linear Analysis including Nastran and Optistruct and Non-Linear Analysis including LS-Dyna; Seat Finite Element Analysis (FEA); Automotive Physical Test methods; Material properties as input into CAE analysis tools; Production processes including foundry, forging, pressed metal and machine tool activities; Engineering mechanics, physics, metallurgy and manufacturing methods engineering; Develop FEA plans; and Correlate analysis results to physical test and update FEA models and FEA models and FEA procedures and document results in FEA reports.
