Full job description
Job Title: HSE Process Safety Specialist / Engineer
Location: East Windsor, New Jersey - Onsite
Hours Schedule:: 40.0 hours weekly
Type: Contract (potential for extension, conversion to direct hire)
Compensation: $50-$64/hour (depending upon experience)
Responsibilities

Lead Process Safety Management programs, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives at the site level.

Chair and facilitate HAZOP, LOPA, PHA, and other formal risk assessment activities.

Assess safety and environmental risks associated with new processes, equipment, and facility modifications.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to process safety, emergency response, and HSE compliance.

Lead investigations, audits, training programs, and regulatory interactions related to process safety.
Requirements
-
Leadership and facilitation of Technical Risk Assessments (HAZOP, LOPA, PHA)
-
Process Safety Management (PSM) experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

New Process Introduction (NPI) risk assessments and process safety evaluations
-
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, major accident hazard prevention, and compliance management
-
Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or related scientific field (Required); Master's Degree in HSE Process Safety or equivalent (Preferred)

5-8+ years of relevant Process Safety/HSE experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong leadership and influencing skills

Excellent communication and presentation abilities
