What You'll Do:
-
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within an educational location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify concerns for reporting.

Monitor access points and activity across the location, document observations, and report security-related issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.

Support campus operations during high-traffic periods, special events, and/or emergency situations by following Allied Universal post instructions and client-directed protocols.
Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
