Job Description

The Spare Parts Inventory Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by receiving, inspecting, stocking, tracking, and issuing spare parts and raw materials to the facility. This role assists with inventory accuracy and audits and ensures compliance with all spare parts procedures. The Material Handler is responsible for issuing and receiving parts accurately and in a timely manner and assists with training new and existing employees in inventory control procedures.

Compressed Work Week, Day & Night Shifts

  • Shift A: 7am to 7pm, Sunday to Tuesday every other Wednesday

  • Shift C: 7am to 7pm, Thursday to Saturday every other Wednesday

  • Shift B: 7pm to 7am, Sunday to Tuesday every other Saturday

  • Shift D: 7pm to 7am, Wednesday to Friday every other Saturday

  • If a Holiday falls on your scheduled shift, you will be required to work the Holiday

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the inventory control team and manufacturing departments for discrepancies and returns.

  • Coordinate and execute spare parts and raw materials order fulfillment.

  • Assist with and make recommendations on root cause analysis for operational issues.

  • Train new and existing employees in procedures and identify training needs across the team.

  • Execute goods receipt of spare parts and raw materials.

  • Identify and report inventory issues identified through operations.

  • Coordinate and execute spare parts returns to stock.

  • Assist with spare parts and raw materials inventory audits.

  • Identify inventory discrepancies and report them to the inventory control team for resolution.

  • Identify, investigate, and escalate operational issues such as missing parts or goods receipt discrepancies.

  • Coordinate activities with manufacturing departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Provide customer service for Spare Parts room customers.

  • Receive and prepare pass down from one shift to the next.

  • Identify need for and coordinate requests from off-site warehouses for spare parts and raw materials.

  • Support research and inventory analysis across spare parts and raw materials.

  • Count, package, move, transport, and otherwise handle spare parts and raw materials.

  • All other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Able to lift, push, pull up to 45 lbs.

  • Prior shipping/receiving material experience (2+ years) preferred.

  • Prior experience operating a forklift preferred.

  • Prior experience scheduling incoming materials preferred.

  • Commitment to safety is preferred.

  • Good written and verbal communication is required.

  • WorldShip, RF scanning experience is a plus.

  • SAP or similar program exposure experience preferred.

  • Forklift, Pallet jack preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License is required.

  • Prior experience in inventory control with cycle counts of inventory, work orders, delivery fulfillment with incoming inventory preferred.
