Medical Laboratory Scientist

Work location: Texas Health Physicians Group- 251 Westpark Way, Suite 212 Euless, TX 76040
Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Night Shift; Monday - Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Here's What You Need:
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in MT program or equivalent Science required
Experience
- 2 Years Hospital Experience or Medical Laboratory preferred
Licenses and Certifications
-
MLS - Medical Lab Scientist Certified by ASCP, AMT, HEW, HHS or NCA 6 Months required Or
-
MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 6 Months required Or
-
MT - Medical Technologist 6 Months required
What You Will Do:
-
Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analysis.

Adhere to laboratory quality control policies, document all quality control activities and corrective action.
-
Adhere to all laboratory policies for established acceptability for proficiency testing, corrective actions and resolution of deficiencies.

Communicates directly with clinicians regarding critical lab results and patient care.
-
Operates, calibrates, and conducts performance checks on laboratory equipment in accordance with lab policies and vendor requirements.

Demonstrates competency in all areas of the laboratory for which patient test reports are issued.
