Minimum Qualifications

No experience or training required.

NOTE:

Positions at facilities receiving certain Medicaid or Medicare funds require that applicants possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Transports or escorts patients to and from units and departments for various activities; may assist patients with ambulation.

  • Performs general tasks such as transporting specimens to the lab.

  • Receives and distributes clean linen; makes and changes bed linen.

  • Cleans immediate patient care areas.

  • Cleans unit refrigerators; mops or sweeps floors as necessary.

  • Distributes dietary trays; feeds patients; provides patients with drinking water, ice, and other drinks.

Position-Specific Details:

Location: This position is located in the Nursing Department of the LA Veterans Home inJackson, Louisiana.

Appointment Type: Part-Time Position (not to exceed 1,245 hours in a 12-month period)

Work Schedule: Alternating Work hours are 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM / 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Shifts may vary depending on your availability and the needs of the facility.

Compensation: The salary offered is $12.00 hourly
