Full job description
Job Summary:
Basic operation and inspection of various types of conventional or automatic machines used to produce
precision parts and instruments.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Ability to follow safety and standard operating procedures
-
Machines parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.

Measures, examines, and tests completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
Qualifications:

Performs work under direct supervision.

Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

Mathematical skills.

Technical expertise.

Manual dexterity.

Physical Stamina. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Basic communication and math skills
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive movements.

Ability to lift and move materials and parts up to 50 pounds.

Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and measuring tools.

Ability to visually inspect parts and read measurements and specifications.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around machinery, noise, oils, and coolants.

Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Salary Range:
- $18.75 - $25.00/hour based on experience
