Full job description
The Oxford Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Haverhill is hiring fun and creative Activities Assistants to join our recreation team!
Full-time openings with weekly pay at $16 an hour.
You assist the department in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the daily events and programming for residents, including arts & crafts, performances, and other activities.
Experience & Education:

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Help coordinate and run events and activities programming.
-
Build relationships with residents and learn about their interests to tailor programming to their desires.
-
Organize group and individual programming.
-
Generate ideas that will excite and encourage residents to participate in programming.
-
Encourage residents to take part in activities that will stimulate his/her potential, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire therapeutic team.

Document and report any unusual or significant findings.

Report all reportable events immediately.
Specific Requirements:
-
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
