An RN Nurse Manager in Medical Telemetry is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff on a dedicated telemetry unit, ensuring high-quality patient care for individuals requiring close cardiac monitoring, by managing daily operations, coordinating care plans, supervising staff, and maintaining standards of practice related to cardiac monitoring and patient assessment within the unit.

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager organizes and manages patient care functions on an ongoing basis. The individual works to enhance patient outcomes through management of human resources, staff education and monitoring of processes for continuous improvement. The Nurse Manager is a role model for excellence in quality care, customer satisfaction and quality improvement and interacts with medical staff on an informal and formal basis for the purpose of improving patient outcomes.

The Nurse Manager demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a full time charge nurse, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management

MUST HAVE MIN 2 YEARS RECENT CHARGE NURSE/CNC EXP. IN AN ACUTE CARE SETTING
