Electrical Superintendent / ForemanLead Major Electrical Projects Across Connecticut

Are you an experienced electrical leader who takes pride in delivering high-quality work, developing strong teams, and keeping projects on schedule? Join a respected electrical contractor with a diverse portfolio of commercial, healthcare, multifamily, institutional, and industrial projects ranging from small service work to installations exceeding $16 million.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on electrical construction projects.

  • Supervise electricians, apprentices, subcontractors, and field crews.

  • Manage manpower, schedules, materials, and equipment to maintain productivity.

  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project schedules.

  • Conduct daily planning meetings and safety briefings.

  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and project requirements.

  • Coordinate with project managers, owners, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners.

  • Monitor project progress, quality, and productivity while proactively resolving issues.

  • Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, manpower logs, and change orders.

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, punch lists, and project closeout activities.

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of electrical construction experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.

  • Experience as a Foreperson, General Foreperson, Superintendent, or similar field leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.

  • Working knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, and construction best practices.

  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related construction software.

  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Connecticut E1 or E2 Electrical License.

  • OSHA 30 Certification.

  • Experience with healthcare, life sciences, higher education, mission-critical, industrial, or multifamily projects.

  • Familiarity with BIM coordination, prefabrication, and commissioning.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newtown, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
