SUMMARY:

Working in a High Performing Multiskilled Organization the Technician role contributes to the manufacturing process by maintaining, operating, trouble shooting and repairing manufacturing equipment. As technicians working in a team-based environment, the team is responsible for working together to keep the production flowing, meeting performance goals and maintaining the highest standards, with regard to safety, quality, housekeeping, and continuous improvement efforts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Follow Safe Work Practices in accordance with Company policies, OSHA Regulations and required code compliance.

  • Operate, install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain manufacturing equipment.

  • Maintain accurate work records.

  • Follow all Standard Work requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

  • To qualify and perform this job successfully, an individual must have met the administrative and skill qualifications for the position, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The functions, specifications and physical demands listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

SKILLS:

  • Working knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, electronics, electrical systems and process controls.

  • Ability to measure accurately using a tape measure.

  • Basic hand tool use.

  • Power tool use.

  • Strong technical, analytical, and coaching skills.

  • Ability to operate Powered Industrial Equipment.

  • Willingness to grow and develop in a multiskilled environment to include operational, mechanical, and electrical work.

  • Ownership in the completion of the total task.
