Job Description:

Coordinates obtaining additional/missing items to avoid case delays. Consistently checks equipment/scopes/instrumentation for proper functioning before use. Identifies and troubleshoots equipment conflicts. Collaborates with leadership and staff to ensure instruments are available for scheduled cases, add-ons, and emergencies, maintaining complete sets. Monitors priority lists to ensure instrumentation is ready for all first cases and follow-up cases. Delivers additional instrumentation needed during procedures to the Operating Room staff. Promotes efficient workflow by making rounds and assisting staff with transporting instrument containers, setting up case carts, and instrument turnover. Other duties as assigned. Communicates daily with Operating Room leadership and staff about instrument supply, specific needs, and issues. Reports Operating Room complaints to the Sterile Processing Manager/Supervisor for follow-up. Resolves issues or offers alternatives when necessary. Coordinates cases with the Circulator/Operating Room team. Reviews the surgical case schedule to ensure timely processing of instrumentation, preventing delays. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
