As an Acute Dialysis Inpatient Registered Nurse with Fresenius Medical Care, you'll provide clinically competent care to hospitalized patients receiving dialysis while collaborating with physicians, hospital staff, and the kidney care team.

As an Acute Dialysis Inpatient RN, you will assess, plan, provide, and evaluate care for an assigned group of patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment. You'll work closely with physicians, primary nurses, hospital staff, patients, families, and dialysis team members to support safe, effective, and coordinated care.
What You'll Do
- Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and support patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments, responding to changes in condition and emergencies.
- Clinical Care: Administer prescribed medications and intradialytic therapies, document treatment and patient responses, and provide safe, effective dialysis care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families about treatments, ongoing care, and kidney health.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, hospital staff, dialysis providers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care.
- Leadership & Quality: Support quality improvement initiatives and serve as a resource, mentor, coach, or preceptor to other team members. Qualifications
Required

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current RN license
-
Current or successful completion of BLS/CPR certification

2+ years of nephrology nursing experience as an RN within the last 2 years

Meet applicable state nursing practice requirements Preferred

Acute dialysis experience Clinical Advancement & Growth
This position is part of the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) and provides opportunities to develop clinical skills, take on additional responsibilities, and advance your nursing career.
Qualified nurses may also serve as preceptors or take on designated Nurse-in-Charge responsibilities after completing required training and meeting applicable experience requirements.
Schedule & Work Environment
This position may require participation in:
- On-call rotation
- Night, weekend, and holiday coverage, based on program needs
- Training and meetings at other locations
- Travel between assigned facilities as needed The role involves direct patient care, including prolonged standing, bending, assisting with patient mobility, and moving equipment with assistance when required.
