Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School Nurse
Location: Elementary School
Start Date: August 3, 2026
Contract Length: 9 Months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Openings: 1
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing services in an elementary school setting. The ideal candidate will support student health and wellness by delivering direct nursing care, managing chronic health conditions, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with school staff to ensure a safe learning environment.
Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications and perform medication passes as required

Monitor and care for students with diabetes, asthma, seizure disorders, and other health conditions

Provide first aid and general nursing care for students and staff as needed
-
Maintain accurate health records, charting, and documentation in accordance with school policies

Conduct health screenings and assist with student health assessments
-
Respond to medical emergencies and implement appropriate interventions
-
Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health needs
-
Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community
Requirements
-
Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
-
Previous pediatric, school nursing, or related nursing experience preferred
-
Experience with medication administration and chronic disease management
-
Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a school environment
-
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
Assignment Details
This is a full-time, 9-month contract opportunity in an elementary school setting. The nurse will be responsible for medication administration, management of diabetic, asthmatic, and seizure-prone students, charting, screenings, and general school nursing duties.
