Crisis Therapist - CRSC

Location:610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus NJ

Full-time 40 hours, On-site:4 (10 hour days), some evenings & weekends

Salary$70-75K

Job Summary:

You will provide crisis intervention, assessment, and psychotherapeutic, brief counseling to individuals who are referred to the CRSC for services. Through the use of carious evidence-based modalities (such as CBT, MI, etc.), you will aid in the mental health recovery journey of your clients. Additionally, you will ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished by fulfilling job and team responsibilities as assigned.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct clinical comprehensive assessments for individuals presenting to the CRSC.

  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services both in-person and via telemedicine.

  • Document interventions in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Utilize evidenced-based practices in clinical interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy interventions, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.

  • Collaborate with treatment team and recovery support personnel to ensure care is coordinated.

  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

  • Offer education to clients and their families regarding diagnosis, medications, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.

  • Provide crisis intervention services and substance abuse treatment, as well as social and coping skills training.

  • Build and maintain relationships with family and other key support systems.

  • Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings.

  • Implement evidence-based interventions (such as CBT, MI, etc.) and assessments to help individuals achieve their treatment goals, link to community resources, and provide inter-agency coordination of treatment.

What WeAre Looking For:

  • Master's Degree in social work or related field with applicable license to provide clinical services.

  • Must have current New Jersey license as aLCSW/LPC

  • At least 1+ years of experience providing clinical services to individuals with SMI, SUD, and/or COD.

  • Free Clinical Supervision
