Quality Inspector / Quality Technician (1st Shift)

💰 Pay & Perks

🎯 What You Will Do

Join a collaborative, fast-paced job shop. You will work alongside welding, fabrication, and machining teams to ensure flawless craftsmanship.

  • Inspection: Conduct in-process and final inspections on fabricated metal parts and assemblies.

  • Blueprints: Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.

  • Precision Tools: Measure tight tolerances using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges.

  • Defect Detection: Verify weld quality, dimensions, and workmanship to identify any production defects.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate quality records and communicate findings directly to production teams.

📋 What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 1+ year of quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Tool Skills: Proven experience utilizing precision hand measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).

  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to accurately interpret technical prints and customer specifications.

  • Attributes: Sharp attention to detail, strong independent decision-making, and a commitment to quality.

  • Past work in sheet metal, structural steel, or CNC machining environments.

  • Experience with Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), or First Article Inspection (FAI).

  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) or weld inspection.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
