Full job description

Position Overview

The Mail Center Associate will be responsible for supporting the mail room with scanning, sorting, and delivery of mail/packages to the corporate offices as well as the preparation of outbound shipments. Includes various administrative, physical, and labor-intensive tasks.

A Day In The Life

  • Utilize scanning system to ensure all inbound mail and packages are recorded, sorted and delivered to addressee

  • Unpack and hang or re-package all sample merchandise and deliver same day to appropriate sample zone

  • Operate outbound shipping system to send out packages within 24 hours of mail center receipt

  • Check copiers daily for any issues and maintain print rooms with daily check and replenishment of paper and toner.

  • Pick up and delivery of record retention boxes.

  • Daily drop off at local post office

You'll Come With

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 year of mail center, clerical, delivery, receiving and shipping experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret charts, tables, and shipping documentation.

  • Experience operating postage meter equipment and mail processing systems.

  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move packages, office supplies, and equipment as needed.

  • Knowledge of and commitment to safe work practices, including safe driving procedures and regulations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and tactfully.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing business needs throughout the day.

  • Basic knowledge of recordkeeping and document management procedures.

  • Experience using FedEx, UPS, and USPS shipping systems and related shipping software.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

  • A valid state driver’s license is required.
