Insight Global is seeking Lead Controls Project Manager to support on a hyperscale data center. This role will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA in order to work directly with our engineering consulting team. These roles will manage execution of BMS / BAS and EPMS controls delivery across design, submittals, procurement coordination, software development, installation support, commissioning readiness, issue resolution, reporting, and closeout.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a field-focused controls commissioning engineer who can execute testing safely, troubleshoot quickly, document accurately, and communicate clearly with project stakeholders. This person must be comfortable working in a high-activity data center construction environment where commissioning readiness, issue closure, and documentation accuracy directly impact final acceptance and turnover.

Skills and Requirements
15+ years managing construction, controls, or automation projects
5+ years leading controls projects, design coordination, and commissioning activities
Experience supporting BMS / BAS, EPMS, controls, automation, electrical, mechanical, commissioning, startup, or mission-critical field execution.
Ability to read and interpret control drawings, electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, points lists, wiring diagrams, network diagrams, and sequences of operation.
Hands-on troubleshooting experience with field devices, control panels, communication networks, instrumentation, alarms, graphics, and equipment interfaces.
Experience documenting test results, deficiencies, corrective actions, punch lists, redlines, and commissioning records.
Strong safety mindset, field communication skills, documentation discipline, and ability to work in an active construction environment. Hyperscale data center, mission-critical facility, commissioning, controls, electrical, mechanical, or industrial automation experience.
Experience with Ignition SCADA, Allen-Bradley PLCs, BMS / BAS, EPMS, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, field instrumentation, and networked control devices.
Experience supporting L3–L5 commissioning, integrated systems testing, failure-mode testing, alarm validation, and owner / CxA witness testing.
Familiarity with Procore, SharePoint, Bluebeam, commissioning management tools, test scripts, punch list systems, or field documentation platforms.
OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, electrical safety, commissioning, controls, or instrumentation-related certifications are preferred but not required.
