In this role, you'll officiate games, enforce rules with fairness and consistency, and contribute to the success of our recreational sports programs. Working Hours for Flag Football Program:

Flag Football Program

Duration: September - November | Saturday Games Only

Full Shift Time: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM (4 games)

Split Shift Time: 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM (2 games) or 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM (2 games)

Compensation

$25.00 - $45.00 per game

What You'll Do:

As a Sports Official, you will:

  • Officiate sporting events, games, and competitions by enforcing sport-specific rules and league guidelines.

  • Ensure fair play and enforce rules consistently and impartially.

  • Promote and encourage good sportsmanship among players, coaches, and spectators.

  • Keep track of event times and keep accurate game scores and records

  • Address any disputes in a professional manner.

What We're Looking For:

  • Must be 15 years of age or older.

  • Knowledge of officiating specific sporting events, games, or competitions preferred.

  • Flexibility to work a varying schedule: Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on scheduled games or events.

Supplemental Information

Physical Demands: This position requires prolonged standing and movement on athletic fields, courts, and park facilities, often in varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift or carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Environmental Conditions: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors at athletic fields, recreation centers, and other sports facilities in varying weather conditions. Officials may occasionally interact with upset participants or spectators and must remain calm, professional, and impartial while enforcing rules.
