Full job description

Forward was founded in 2013 by four Stanford Ph.D.s, building the industry's first network digital twin: a mathematically accurate model of the production network. It's the foundation for autonomous networking, giving engineers and AI agents the ability to know the impact of every change before it touches production. That founding instinct still defines how we work. We're accurate and evidence-driven, relentless about clarity, and we'd rather be certain than comfortable, building a groundbreaking platform that transforms how teams run and secure networks across every major cloud and vendor environment.

Global leaders like Goldman Sachs, PayPal, S&P Global, IBM, and Dell trust Forward, alongside fast-growing enterprises and government agencies, realizing an average of $14.2 million in annual benefits, according to IDC. Backed by top-tier investors, including A. Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Goldman Sachs, MSD Partners, Omega Venture Partners, Section 32, and Threshold Ventures, and headquartered in Santa Clara, we're most proud of our team: curious people who'd rather build what doesn't exist than accept how things have always been done.

Forward is looking for an experienced Senior Revenue Systems Analyst to join our Revenue Operations team. Reporting to our Sales Operations Manager, you'll act as an additional pair of hands and set of eyes across our Salesforce environment and sales-adjacent tools — supporting day-to-day administration, reporting and analytics, integrations, and vendor relationships.

This role is designed to complement and extend our existing Salesforce expertise. You should be able to step in with minimal ramp. You are fluent in declarative development, understand the Sales and Revenue Cloud (CPQ) data models, and are comfortable partnering with various GTM teams. You'll work directly with our primary Salesforce owner to keep our go-to-market systems running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Administration: Own day-to-day admin tasks — user and license management, profiles and permission sets, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and ongoing data hygiene across the org. Declarative Development: Build and maintain scalable, no-code/low-code solutions (Flow, formula fields, dynamic forms, approval processes) to support evolving go-to-market processes. Sales Processes: Support opportunity management, pipeline and forecasting processes, quote-to-cash flows, and the systems that carry deals from qualified opportunity through close. Reporting & Analytics: Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce, giving Sales, RevOps, and leadership clear visibility into pipeline, forecast, and revenue metrics. Integrations & Data Flow: Help maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot integrations between Salesforce and connected systems (Hubspot, commissions, data enrichment, CS platforms, and ERP). Vendor & Tool Management: Work with third-party vendors and app providers to evaluate, implement, and support tools across the sales tech stack (e.g., commissions administration in CaptivateIQ, revenue intelligence using Gong). Project Support: Partner with the senior admin/architect on larger initiatives — requirements gathering, build, testing, documentation, and rollout. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate business needs from Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Marketing into practical, scalable Salesforce solutions.

Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, ideally supporting a Revenue Operations, Sales Ops, or broader GTM systems function. Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator or additional certifications strongly preferred. A track record of operating independently — able to take ownership of requests end-to-end with minimal ramp.

Core Salesforce Skills

Strong command of declarative development — Flow, validation rules, formula fields, permission sets, dynamic forms — without reliance on custom code. Deep working knowledge of the Sales Cloud and Revenue Cloud (CPQ) data models, and how the objects connect across the opportunity and quote-to-cash lifecycle. Proven ability to build reports and dashboards, with comfort in data analysis and maintaining data quality.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Service Cloud and its data model. Experience with Gong or similar revenue intelligence platforms — forecasting, activity tracking, and conversational intelligence. Experience supporting post-sales / Customer Success operations (renewals, expansion, health scoring). Experience in building or administering partner portals in Salesforce PRM or equivalent including deal registration and channel-facing workflows. Familiarity with a broader sales tech stack (e.g., Tableau, CaptivateIQ or other commissions tools, marketing automation, sales engagement platforms). Familiarity using AI to extend and scale operational capabilities. Familiarity with Apex/SOQL

The base pay range for this role is between $135,000 and $155,000. Base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
