A proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Manager who will partner with the Director of Engineering to maintain guest rooms and guest floors to four-diamond standards. In this leadership role, you’ll supervise daily operations, manage preventive maintenance programs, and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks. What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise daily maintenance operations and assign work to engineering staff

  • Review and inspect completed work orders to ensure accuracy and quality

  • Address and resolve maintenance-related guest concerns in collaboration with department heads

  • Oversee and ensure completion of all preventive maintenance tasks to hotel standards

  • Assist engineers with diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions

  • Coordinate training programs to enhance team skills and performance

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in maintenance shops and work areas

  • Manage inventory for guestroom parts, tools, and maintenance supplies

  • Conduct periodic inspections of guestrooms to ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Support ADA compliance efforts in guest rooms and public spaces

  • Administer key control, tool control, and credit card control procedures

  • Collaborate with Security on repairs and maintenance of electronic locking systems

  • Attend hotel meetings and stay informed about property-wide events and operational updates

  • Foster teamwork by promoting a collaborative, service-oriented work environment

  • Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and hotel policies

  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards

  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs

  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications Include :

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering supervisory role within a hospitality environment. Post-secondary education in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven experience in overseeing maintenance operations, preventive maintenance, and system inspections. Previous experience with leadership, training, and employee performance management

  • Hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and life safety systems

  • Familiarity with HotSoS or other computer-based maintenance management systems

  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and blueprints

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and equipment maintenance standards

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with energy management and system diagnostics

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, work on ladders, and lift/pull/push 50 plus pounds regularly throughout the shift

  • Flexibility to work on varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed

Salary range for this position, based on experience, is $68,000.00 to $85,000.00.
