Description: Trinity Livonia is a beautiful full-service, 304-bed acute care hospital, located in Livonia, MI, that provides comprehensive care, including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer, cardiology, geriatrics and birthing and women's health. Through several major expansions in the hospital, programs and services, St. Mary Mercy continues to offer the latest in quality health and medical services. St. Mary Mercy has received numerous awards recognizing excellence in clinical outcomes, patient safety, financial performance and efficiency.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides daily pharmacy technical services to inpatients, outpatients and other Health Center departments, working under strict time constraints. Responds to routine and emergency requests in a prompt and efficient manner requiring a moderate amount of independent judgment, an advanced level of technical knowledge and a high degree of accuracy. Good communication skills are necessary. IV Compounding skills are mandatory. The consequences of a compounding or drug selection error, if undetected, could result in serious patient injury.

EDUCATION & LICENSE REQUIRED

Requires high school diploma.

Minimum of six months of hospital or retail pharmacy experience or completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program.

Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan is required.
