Clariant is currently looking for a Maintenance Technician, Stockroom to support our maintenance storeroom and repairable spare operations. This position helps maintain inventory accuracy and ensures critical materials, spare parts, and repairable assets are available to support safe and reliable plant operations. Working under the direction of the MRO Leader, the Maintenance Technician will focus on stockroom activities, repairable spare management, and rebuild programs. The position may also provide field maintenance support during outages, shutdowns, special projects, and periods of increased workload. This is a full time, onsite, hourly position with a pay range of $38.12-$45.20 per hour, based on years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Receive, stock, issue, return, organize, and accurately track maintenance materials and repairable assets.
Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, material staging, work order kitting, and stockroom housekeeping and 5S activities.
Prepare repairable equipment for shipment, receive and inspect repaired assets, and maintain repair and spare-tracking records.
Support target inventory levels, preservation requirements, and storage standards for repairable, critical, and capital spares.
Perform incoming QA/QC inspections and verify repair documentation, certifications, inspection reports, and completed repair scopes.
Support vendor-managed inventory activities, including replenishment, inventory verification, stockout reporting, and vendor coordination.
Assist with BOM validation, material data improvements, critical spare reviews, and the identification of obsolete, duplicate, or inactive inventory.
Support maintenance execution during outages and shutdowns, assist maintenance crafts as assigned, and participate in reliability and equipment-preservation activities.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Five or more years of hands-on industrial maintenance, maintenance storeroom, inventory, or repairable spare management experience preferred.
Working knowledge of maintenance inventory systems and SAP, with the ability to read equipment drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Strong organizational, communication, recordkeeping, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and material-handling equipment and lift or move maintenance materials as required.
