  • Purpose

Performs essential base-level tasks & functions related to service fulfillment, disinfection & sanitation in patient facing, ancillary or back-office areas Provides service, support & colleague or customer support in accordance with level of experience, education, regulatory agency standards & established policies & procedures. Conducts daily functions in a compassionate, ethical & respectful manner. Supports patients, families & guests in exceeding their expectations. Demonstrates the ability to deliver personalized care & service unique to the patients' & families' expectations / needs.

Maintains a Working Knowledge of applicable federal, state & local laws / regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices.

Functional Role (not inclusive of titles or advancement career progression)

  • Assembles and delivers trays following basic portion/menu guidelines

  • Performs simple prep (portioning, packaging)

  • Communicates basic needs to team members and leaders

  • Rotates and replenishes floor stock, food supplies, and kitchen inventory to maintain par levels and reduce waste

  • Cleans dishes, utensils, equipment, and work areas; ensures sanitation compliance and reports maintenance or safety issues.

  • Operates basic kitchen tools, cleans, and maintains equipment according to safety protocols

  • Follows food safety and hygiene guidelines, monitors and records food and equipment temperatures to meet regulatory standards

  • Operates point-of-sale systems, handles cash transactions accurately

Minimum Qualifications

Serve Safe Certification or within 6mo. of hire. Food Handlers Certification in line with state requirements, or within 6 mo. of hire.

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

High School Diploma or GED. 0-1 year of customer service
