Overview Description

Swissport is seeking a Trucking Co-Ordinator to oversee the Irish Trucking Operation and report to the Trucking Manager for Ireland. The role will see you take responsibility for managing and supervising the planning of our trucks and sub-contractors throughout our logistics network in Ireland. As part of a small team, you will be overseeing day-to-day operations in our trucking department at Dublin, ensuring all shipments and deliveries/collections are handled and executed in a timely and efficient manner. You will also work closely with the cargo office and warehouse staff at Dublin, Cork, Shannon and the respective UK offices to ensure that all trucks are correctly planned, loaded and dispatched to meet the high standards for quality and accuracy that is required by our customers.

Responsibilities JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and supervise daily trucking

  • Coordinate with internal/external teams to ensure timely and accurate

  • Schedule and coordinate all trucking activities including routing, dispatching, and tracking.

  • Maintain daily billing packs for truck movements to ensure all charges correctly gathered and applied, liaise with our accounts to team to address any queries before month end.

  • Resolve any issues or concerns that arise with shipments or 

  • Liaising closely with our customers to provide information/quotes/support as required.

Qualifications REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • 5+ years of experience in trucking or logistics 

  • Knowledge of customs regulations and safety standards for 

  • Proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, and logistics management systems.

  • Contract is any 5 from 7 days, so the flexibility to work weekends and an understanding of the need for re-rostering shifts to cover sickness and holidays is required and to be expected through the year.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workflows in a fast-paced
