Job Title: Micro Anaylst
Wage Scale: $27.59/hr(Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies)
Working Hours/shift: 5th Shift(12PM-8:30PM)
Days Off: Varies
General Summary:
Micro Analyst position is responsible for performing bacteriological testing for the Quality Control Department. This position will work flexible hours.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
-
Performance of all required microbiological determinations upon all manner of raw and finished production samples received, as well as in-process and environmental samples obtained.
-
Preparation of any and all media and/or reagents required for proper performance of all analytical techniques.
-
Performance of any and all required instrument calibrations.
-
Maintenance of instrument calibration log books.
-
Performance of any and all required Quality Assurance checks, routine or otherwise.
-
Maintenance of Quality Assurance log books.
-
Completion of all Quality Control documentation associated with analytical determinations.
-
Perform other duties as assigned by Foreperson or Supervisor.
-
At all times, operate in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures.

Maintain clean and orderly work area, participating in the Master Sanitation Schedule.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
-
Previous experience in a laboratory setting.
-
Basic understanding of microbiology as it pertains to food products and environment.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
-
Experience in the Manufacturing, Quality in Food, of Quality in Dairy industries.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Competencies:
-
Be able to perform basic microbiological testing.

Be able to perform basic algebraic functions.
-
Be able to understand basic scientific notation.
-
Be able to understand volumetrics and gravimetrics.
-
Must be able to fulfill physical functional requirements of position per ADA.
-
Must be able to work independently and be self motivated to complete all tasks in a timely manner.
Working Relationships:
-
This position reports to the Quality Department Manager or a Supervisor.
-
This position will regularly interact with other production and support group supervisors. Regular interaction with other plant management.
