Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) - Elementary School

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to support elementary school students in an inclusive learning environment. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction, educational support, and collaboration with school staff to help students achieve academic and developmental success.
This assignment will cover two elementary school leave positions and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a supportive Special Education leadership team.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide quality educational services to special education students in grades K-12.

Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies.

Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.

Participate in student program planning, implementation, and progress monitoring.

Provide special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation services.

Support student growth in an inclusive classroom environment.
Compensation
-
Local Pay Rate: $60/hour
-
Overtime Rate: 1.5x
-
Travel Package Available: Up to $2,100 (where applicable)
This Mild/Moderate Special Education position is covering two leave assignments within elementary school sites and is ideal for educators who are passionate about helping students succeed in an inclusive setting.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
-
Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
-
Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
-
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
-
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
-
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
-
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable

TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
