About the Role: Join our dedicated team at ComForCare Home Health Care in Slidell, LA, as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA). In this rewarding role, you will provide essential support and care to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.

  • Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks.

  • Monitor and report changes in clients’ health and behavior to the care team.

  • Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.

  • Document care activities and maintain accurate records.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a PCA is preferred.

  • Previous experience in home health care or a related field is a plus.

  • Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong desire to help others.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must pass background checks and drug screening.

  • Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes.

  • Flexible schedule to accommodate clients' needs.
