As a Fiber Splicer , you will develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community. Responsibilities
As a Fiber Splicer , you are responsible for producing end-to-end fiber optic networks. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you’re up for the challenge.
In addition, you will:

Test and troubleshoot the continuity of fiber optic networks
-
Operate all testing equipment and be adept at the resolution of challenges common to fiber optic networks
-
Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.
-
Utilize a fusion splicer, test equipment, OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter
-
Fiber engineer knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels, and dB loss
-
Work in outdoor utility construction sites
Qualifications
About You:

Safety is a part of your day-to-day

You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality

You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
-
You are looking for long-term projects
-
You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
-
You have at least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience
-
You are comfortable working on a ladder or a bucket truck
-
You are flexible and enjoy a variety of shifts with overtime
-
Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems and mechanical principles
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
-
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
MOS Codes V80B, B05A, 3D157, 6423, 5699 relate well to this position.
Compensation of $25-$34 per hour.
