Primary Purpose

We are looking for a passionate Senior Account Manager (Packaging Design) who will partner with and ensure the long-term success of our clients in a brand strategy, packaging, POS and social design environment. You will act as the strategic business leader and become a trusted resource for your portfolio of assigned clients as they rely on you to address their business needs and design challenges. In your role you will liaise between customers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our packaging design & strategic solutions. Your primary responsibility will be the growth of your portfolio to meet a dedicated forecast.

This is a hybrid/remote role with a strong preference for the candidate to be located in New Jersey or NYC.

Accountable For

The Client Relationship, Workflows, Product and the dedicated forecast.

As Defined By

The growth of the business in client satisfaction and relationship, revenue generation (net new and current), contributing margin, successful achievement of identified KPIs, and growth of both direct and indirect teams.

General Overview

Responsibilities

Get immersed in the exciting, fast-paced, Marks Design Culture to be able to present our strategic solutions to clients.

Oversee all marketing and design needs for client portfolio - including Brand Strategy, Packaging, POS, Digital and Social.

Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts and customer stakeholders

Ability to lead account, and project teams, and day-to-day creative outputs.

Ability to apply insights to creative, effectively present and communicate layouts to clients.

Ability to multi-task and problem-solve on a daily basis.

Provide strategic direction/rationale and quality check on all design work to ensure high standards are met, error-free.

Lead project kick-offs, brainstorming sessions, and client meetings, ensuring smooth project work flow in conjunction with all Team Members and clients.

Write briefs in conjunction with the client, align on design objectives and design intent. Ensure the designs presented align with the approved briefs.

Ongoing - Recommend improvements in the design process and utilization of resources to optimize efficiencies where applicable

Act as first point of escalation and responsibility to the Marks Design Team.

Provide proposals, estimates and SOWs based on client brief, adjusting based on project scope changes and presenting to client to ensure alignment

Invoice projects in a timely manner

Forecast and track key account metrics

Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

May be future expectation for periodic on-site collaboration in New Jersey to meet with clients and key stakeholders

Proactively identify opportunities, build trusted client relationships, and align cross-functional teams

Success In The Role

Success in this role is achieved by consistently demonstrating the ability to manage, oversee and work against the clients' growth priorities, uphold the Marks Design Pillar Standard of Excellence, manage multiple priorities with internal and external clients, and make sound decisions to ensure the business moves forward.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic Management Services or Design

Minimum 7+ years of experience in brand stewardship and account management.

Minimum 4 years of experience working with clients on brand strategy, creative design and design adaptation all in relation to packaging

Minimum 4 years of experience in visual communication

Proficient using PC platform and Mac OS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or Keynote)

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

You have experience in account management in the packaging design environment

You're a motivated problem solver with an appetite for growth in a fast-moving, industry-defining business and team

You have experience managing/mentoring account team members and project managers.

You can evaluate design effectiveness and brand performance across all media types.

You have a thorough understanding of the creative process.

Approachable with the desire to foster and maintain relationships within the organization.

You hold a valid passport and have the ability to travel to the US.

Integrated marketing and digital/e-commerce experience

Global CPG and/or healthcare/wellness experience preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $95,000 USD - $105,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
