Full job description

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is a hands-on technical role focused on strengthening Cornerstone's security posture across cloud infrastructure, applications, AI platforms, and enterprise systems. This role partners with Engineering, Product, Cloud Operations, and Security teams to design security controls, assess risk, drive vulnerability remediation, and build automation that improves security at scale. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, sound security judgment, and an automation-first mindset to secure modern cloud-native and AI-driven environments. This role is expected to operate as a technical force multiplier by using automation, secure-by-design practices, and risk-based prioritization to reduce security exposure and improve engineering velocity. In this role you will… Design and implement security solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments. Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments for cloud-native, application, and AI-based systems. Drive risk-based vulnerability management, including finding validation, prioritization, remediation coordination, retesting, and risk reduction tracking. Develop security automation and "Security as Code" solutions to improve scalability and operational efficiency. Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows. Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and configuration reviews of applications, APIs, cloud workloads, and infrastructure. Support AI security initiatives, including secure AI development practices, model security assessments, agent security reviews, threat modeling, and AI-specific risk analysis. Collaborate with engineering teams to implement secure-by-design practices and remediate security findings. Support incident response, detection engineering, and proactive threat hunting activities. Evaluate emerging threats, security technologies, and automation opportunities, and recommend practical improvements that strengthen Cornerstone's security posture. You’ve got what it takes if you have… Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience across cybersecurity engineering, cloud security, DevSecOps, and application security domains. Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure security concepts and tools. Demonstrated hands-on programming skills with Python (additional scripting languages a plus). Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Knowledge of CI/CD security, secure software development practices, and DevSecOps methodologies. Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams. Experience with AI and LLM security, including OWASP LLM Top 10, agentic AI security, model security testing, and threat modeling. Experience with security automation, orchestration, or agentic security workflows. Security certifications such as CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent. #LI-onsite
