Job Title: Animal Breeders
Job Location: 7360 195th Ave SW Prinsburg, MN 56281
Job Duties: Responsible for implementing and evaluating animal breeding programs for swine producer. Specific duties include: (1) Implementing animal reproductive programs, including detecting estrus, managing and properly administering boar semen, and administering related procedures for animals undergoing post-cervical insemination procedures; (2) Assisting with farrowing (birthing); (3) Administering pre-farrow vaccinations to sows; (4) Administering vaccinations to isoweans (baby pigs); (5) Implementing animal health protocols, including identifying sick sows and administering medications; (6) Providing daily care to sows and ioweans, including ensuring proper feed, water, and air.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, or related.
Salary: $50,000- $65,000 + benefits (health, dental & vision insurance; IRA; HSA)
